Hot Toys 1/4 Batman The Dark Knight - Part 1

Releasing (Unboxing) The Dark Knight

Taken out of the brown box, i find the Dark Knight real packaging.
Its wrapped in plastic bag, secured with regular tape.
Unwrap the plastic bag, i can clearly observe the embossed texture of the box. Very nice finishing detail.
The upper part. Theres a cropped out portrait of the dark knight cowl. This is the outer layer of the packaging.
Turn it to the side i see the trademark seal of hottoys packaging. The round tape.
The backside of the box shows the credits.
Back to the side, unseal the round tape. Then i can open the band to access the inner box.
Then i can slide the inner box out.

There you go. The coffin-like box which seal the Dark Knighy within.
Open the lid and there goes the Dark Knight safe and securely rest waiting for avid collectos and fans to release him.
The Dark Knight is held comfortably with black foam which is the standard of Hottoys DX figures.
Lift the foam and you can find the accessories contained within plastic mould container standard of Hottoys non-DX figures. Lift the plastic mould and you can find the batcape inside a plastic bag, taped to a black cardboard box. There goes the instruction manual too slipped beneath the batcape. Its a three layer package for The Dark Knight.
"Read the instruction manual to assembly, before subjecting the Dark Knight to any brutal and unforgiving poses you mangy dog, you.." Says the yellow band of warning. Kidding guys...
Lets take a closer look at the comfy Bruce and the sonar head.
 Closer...
And the bat... Just before the rest of his miserable life falling to the hands of extreme poses demanding collectors (mangy dog, you)...
 The hands set included...
The chin of maniac billionaire...
The bat utility belt... Not yet assembled with gadgets.
Now lets move to the plastic tray, the second level of packaging.
There goes the gadgets for the utility belt. From left to right, the bat drill, the tube-like-whatchamacallit, the box-whatever-container, the radiation detector box, and lastly the black rectangular things are the sticky bomb gun holders. The next tray contains the batarangs, grapnel hooks for the batgun, and a smoke bomb to create distraction. (In case The Dark Knight needs to escape from your grasp, so i guess its better to safely secure the bomb in the box to prevent that from happening.) Ha ha ha ... Why so serious...?
The exclusive standbase, notoriously known for forcing The Dark Knight to hold both his feet apart stance instead of any stances. Still wrapped up in plastic bag. Should just store this in the box too. Dont want the Dark Knight getting leg cramps over this base.
The bat gun and holster, and the diorama also used for Hottoys The Hulk.
The sticky bomb gun in its folded shape.
Now lets take the utility belt and assemble the gadgets first before releasing the Dark Knight. The belt has rubber like inner layer to prevent it from scratching the suit. Very nice afterthought...
Undo the clasp of the belt.

These are the gadgets that need to be assembled into the belt.
Radiation detector box on the left side
The drill, another box, and tube like device ob the right side.
The sticky bomb gun holders goes in the back side. Observe the position, so you dont put it upside down.
There goes the utility belt fully assembled sans the batgun holster.
Now, lets wake the Dark Knight from his long slumber. There are some protection plastic wrap on some of his bodysuit. No idea why they put it there in the first place. I dont think they re necessary but its nice to know Hottoys take good care of the Dark Knight while in transit.

 From behind...

There's the PERS control for each eye. Careful when adjusting the eyes guys, needless to say actually...

Assembled. First pose :P  copying from the poster of The Dark Knight Rises promo.
a bit difficult to pose exactly as the poster since the suit limits articulation...

and thats it for Part 1. See you on the next part of the review, folks!!
